Boy, lots has been going on since I last 'blogged!' I've started showing, which is very exciting. I now have a little tummy, as some of my kids at the school I work at have affectionately named it. I get lots of pats and rubs on my tummy. This baby is already so very loved!

Andrew and I have had some scares with this little one too. We found out at our first trimester screening that I had a protein in my blood that can be correlated with down syndrome. Needless to say, we were both very worried and went through with an amnio to know definitively if there was anything 'wrong' with our little one. At the amnio they found another potential down marker, which only worried us more. The doctor also commented she wants to keep an eye on the baby's heart, so we are scheduled for regular sonograms. She wasn't dissatified with what she say, but the heart at 16 weeks is so tiny (the size of a pinhead), she just wants to watch it. The two weeks we waited for the amnio results seemed like the longest two weeks of our lives! Thankfully, we found out our baby is perfectly normal, which was a HUGE relief. Thanks to all of you who were praying for us! We also found out we are having a baby girl! Andrew and I were really wanting a boy, but have warmed up to the idea of having a daughter. Ultimately, we were just happy everything was okay with her.

So, now our days have been filled with thinking about names, registering for the necessities and lots of other things, and I have started feeling our little one move, which is a strange and beautiful feeling! She is quite the active baby. Everytime we see her in a sonogram, she is bouncing around like a little jumping bean. I look forward to others being able to feel her as well. Currently, I am 4 1/2 months pregnant (almost 19 weeks). I hope to post pics of my last sonogram later this evening. Check back soon!
